Due percorsi distinti animati da un’unica passione, quella del geografo fotografo, come si definisce Trevor Cole. Light and landscape vuole comunicare il senso dello spazio in cui la luce esaspera i contrasti del territorio. Nelle immagini realizzate in Islanda, Irlanda, Canada, Isole Faer Øer e Namibia l’influenza umana è minima. In Tribal traits and traditions, invece, il focus è concentrato sulle tribù che vivono nella Valle dell’Omo e nella regione Afar in Etiopia e nel Ciad. L’obiettivo cattura luci, colori, emozioni, relazioni, sia nei ritratti che nelle scene di comunità.

Two distinct projects united by the single passion of geographer photographer Trevor Cole. Light and landscape endeavours to convey a sense of space in which light exacerbates tonal contrasts. In the images taken in Iceland, Ireland, Canada, the Faeroe Islands and Namibia, human influence is minimal. In Tribal traits and traditions, on the other hand, the focus is on the tribes living in the Omo Valley and the Afar region in Ethiopia and Chad. The camera captures light, colour, emotion and character, both in the portraits and in the photos of candid moments of community spirit.
