In this work, Camporesi goes back to her “travelling research” among the stunning wonders of Italy, in an attempt to abandon predictable paths in favour of special and thrilling natural landscapes, unusual situations and amazing visions. The artist’s work conveys her desire to connect the objects depicted to define a more or less novel cultural story of our country. In her own words: “…concentrating on the definition of lost or reborn identities. Wherever I was, I tried to highlight the key elements of the place’s inner spirit and, above all, of the people who lived there”. Because it’s absolutely true: there’s always somewhere we haven’t yet visited – and that deserves a visit – in Italy.
