It is said that all Milan lacks to be perfect is the sea. But it does have a sea: the Idroscalo, an artificial lake created as an airstrip on the water in the 1920s. The photographers moved around the shores in total freedom, shifting their viewpoint between beautiful and ugly, full and empty, through different genres and languages. The aim of the research is to identify links, balances, transformations within this ‘almost’ urban universe. Discovering the place and inventing stories anf relationships, or immersing oneself in imaginary places through the acerbic and wonderful sensitivity of young photographers.
