Via a selection of over 70 significant works, photographer Vasco Ascolini honours ancient sculpture in this anthological exhibition featuring a symbiosis between photography and classical works: from plaster casts by Antonio Canova and Bertel Thorvaldsen to Giorgio de Chirico’s paintings. A visual journey in the very heart of the museum, where we can admire both the works on display and their relationship with the museum space itself. Thus, the exhibition highlights the debate between the ancient and the contemporary, recreating the metaphysical atmosphere pursued by the photographer from Reggio Emilia in the museum halls
