When the camera becomes an instrument of knowledge, connection, and communication: this is the experience that the author developed while seeking a way to help her daughter, who suffers from a form of language disability. She recounts this journey through what she calls simple visual fragments, which nonetheless allowed her to express her daughter’s desire to love and be with others. “So, I wanted to make sense of the chaos of our life; I wanted to transform our nature and our experience into a story where silence becomes active listening, a cry to be heard by the world”.
