A photographic face-to-face of drapery and masks, of (un)veiled realities and concealed appearances. In Nicola Bertoglio’s pictures a model conveys the idea of the classical representation of drapery wrapped around the body. Mauro Mariani, on the other hand, explores a subject that does not fully reveal itself, hidden behind a mask. A photographic duet that is complementary in terms of philosophical framework and techniques, pairing analogic and digital photography while sharing the same focus on black and white.
