The city has many ways of speaking. Writings on walls are one of these ways. Among the wordsmiths are those of M.E.P., the Movement for the Emancipation of Poetry, created to promote freedom of expression and to divulge the feelings born of thoughts. Di Brindisi and Villa photograph these silent urban posters incorporated in the textures and patterns of walls and surfaces: even when they are torn, they are incorporated by the city. A tribute to poetry but also to the expressive style of Mimmo Rotella in search of a space in which to be, to feel and to recognise oneself.
