Vanetti’s project explores the body and the expressive possibilities of the medium of photography. In an unpredictable dialogue between images and videos made with a smartphone and dark room film developing, something ethereal and sophisticated comes to the fore. In this transformative process, repetition, disturbance, and error give images a new identity. Their apparent randomness is guided by instinct and the search for the sublime leads to the capturing of unrepeatable moments destined to fade and part of an instable process. The project is part of the Storie in transito exhibition series.
