When the then 24-year-old Thorgherson founded the Hipgnosis studio in 1968, specialising in music, he certainly could not have imagined that his photographs would become as iconic as the bands he would represent. Thorgherson is today inextricably linked to the iconography of rock. His visionary photographs have represented a musical era, becoming etched into the elite rock scene: Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd are just some of the names that have passed in front of his lens during his long career. On show is a retrospective that is also a journey into the most legendary music.
