“Bloom – is Result – to meet a Flower and casually glance would scarcely cause one to suspect the minor Circumstance” is a verse by the poet Emily Dickinson, which inspired these photographs. The act of blooming, in the verses as well as in the author’s photographs, is not only a joyful coming into being, but also implies the labour involved in birth, a responsibility inherent in the mechanism of natural architecture. Behind the beauty of a flower, as well as in the harmony of the portraits in the exhibition, we see the ‘minimal circumstances’ that show true rebirth after two years of abyss.
