Fabio Borquez isn’t a fan of labels. He doesn’t belong to the category of people who work as photographers, because he lives photography fully and wholeheartedly. As a portrait photographer, he’s skilled at establishing great empathy with his subjects, but only by observing the boldness of his architectures, the grandeur of his landscapes, the intensity of his photo reportages and the creativity of his fashion photography and nudes do we understand his international success. This exhibition, his first solo one in Italy, underscores the importance of an author whose works prove intriguing both for their compositional precision and print quality, but also – and above all – for the astonishing vitality they emanate.
