SCENARIOS, HORIZONS, CHALLENGES. THE CHANGING WORLD
PHOTOFESTIVAL 2020 IS POSTPONED TO SEPTEMBER, WITH THE PROMISE OF A BEAUTIFUL AND EXCITING EDITION
Milan, March 27, 2020 – As we all know, the emergency health situation we are experiencing requires us to face reality with conscious prudence without giving up our passions and professions.
For this reason, the Organizing Committee of Photofestival, the Milanese photography exhibition promoted by AIF – Italian Association of Photo & Digital Imaging, thought that, while confident that in May or June we can slowly return to a normality that we have learned to regard as precious, the Festival will not be able to resume in its entirety and express all its potential in such a short time as was initially assumed by moving the start date to May 4th.
After hearing many of its interlocutors, the organization has thus decided to set the 15th edition of the exhibition from 7 September to 15 November 2020, thus maintaining its duration unchanged.
To safeguard the heritage of cultural proposals that had been developed, Photofestival will immediately deal with all the operators and authors who have enthusiastically joined the event, to try to redefine the programming of the exhibitions and planned initiatives.
In addition, during this period the organization of the festival is considering some initiatives to maintain contacts with all operators and enthusiasts, such as small video previews of the exhibitions which will then go from virtual to real. The goal is to continue working to make sure that when we come out of this difficult moment we will find that enthusiasm that has always guided us and we will be able to offer, with Photofestival 2020, the most beautiful and the most exciting of the editions.
