Enrico Cattaneo was such a versatile and creative photographer that any exhibit aiming to showcase his activity runs the risk of being incomplete. “Research Never Ends” sets out to display just a few of his works, taken from his many series and connected by the sense of never-ending research pursued by this author throughout his life. This world of research encompasses both the “sculptures” produced at first by chance and later intentionally with discarded photo paper and the landscapes obtained off camera with his experimental “chimifoto”, but also the non-rhetorical images of the postwar city outskirts and the ones in the style of Morandi – a sophisticated exercise in style.
