The history of photography is marked by several turning points: the invention of the daguerreotype, Kodak’s idea of producing a camera that only required pressing the shutter button, colour film, the introduction of autofocus, the digital revolution. At times greeted with enthusiasm, at times by puzzlement and aversion. New perspectives are once again appearing on the horizon, and Artificial Intelligence is a heated topic of debate. There is much to be said, analysed and discussed because – rather than joining the ranks of the “New at all costs” supporters or the “What is this world coming to?” prophets of doom – perhaps we should ask ourselves some questions. And look for the answers all together.
