Photography involves different ways of looking: one can look with method, with rigour, with creative flair and with numerous intentions. It is the ability to be surprised by the end result that guides Gualdoni. On show are a series of shots that reproduce the floral world in an original way, a way in which the photographic medium makes a contribution capable of creating a parallel reality. In his research, Gualdoni uses the medium of photography to overcome the concept of time and space, surprising the observer in a simple and rigorous way, with explicit references to Lucio Fontana’s Spatialism.
