Paka pepe paki cae (little birds eat ripe papaya), is a tonguetwister that echoes in the dusty streets of Dhanjuri, the land of rice. The retrospective gaze of this exhibition rests on the streets of a mission in northern Bangladesh: a series of textual and photographic suggestions recount the hectic and suffocating life of the capital Dhaka and the still slow and serene life of some villages in the Bengali countryside. A reportage with an astonished, poetic and at the same time anthropological gaze, in constant search of contact with the Other than oneself. Being confronted with such different realities shatters any expectations.
