“The starry sky above me, the moral law within me”, said Kant, but the mirror of the sky is universal. As we raise our eyes to the sky, artistic works and thoughts are born and ideas are developed. Maurizio Gabbana presents a series of photographic works in which he points his lens right up to the sky in search of the different shapes, colours, and consistencies of clouds: dancing subjects that act as a backdrop for a seemingly infinite blue. But this is also a search for that deep and ancestral bond with which we confront the sky because by observing it we are actually looking into ourselves.
