A series of black and white photographs, taken between the 1950s and the 1960s, from the photographic treasure trove that is the Ferrania magazine’s photographic archive. Many photography enthusiasts participated in the life of the magazine, non-professional photographers who sent in their works. By selecting the female portraits, one has the possibility to get an anthropological, social and cultural cross-section of Italy at that time. We can read much in these beautiful faces: freedom, expectation, vitality, the desire to imitate the great divas.
