Often we wonder how many photographs to display in an exhibition, thinking that too few might impoverish it and too many might make it too dispersive, inducing visitors to rush through it. With Maurizio Galimberti it was agreed to take a different and more innovative approach, that of presenting just one photograph. Goldenhair is a spectacular portrait set in a precious frame: composed of 552 Polaroids, it creates a disjointed image that reassembles admirably when viewed as a whole, as the model’s gaze emerges from the cascade of her blond hair. After appreciating it in all its nuances, you will understand why it was decided to make this work the centerpiece of the exhibition.
